During this project I was the head of puppetry; I was leading a group of students though designing, constructing and painting all the puppets for the show.

Veronica is a puppet that I designed and made as part of a commission for decorating a bar space in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2012
This project is a collection of black and white sketches of people in the urban landscape.
My aim is to capture on paper people’s personal moments, emotions and characteristics during their everyday life in the city.
An elderly couple is drinking coffee at the airport’s waiting room. A man is waiting for the bus. Another man is smoking a cigarette at the corner of a pub. A woman with her two children is trying to cross the road. Two teenagers are having one of their first dates. A boy is enjoying his ice cream.
All these little moments of people’s lives, moments often unnoticed, moments of waiting for something, moments of just ‘being’ in the urban environment.
In my perspective these moments release emotions; in this project I am trying to capture people’s silent stories, isolating them in the drawings from the environment and bringing the focus on the very personal moments.
‘Paper stories’ is a series of handmade notebooks. Each of these notebooks has its own little story, because of the materials that have been used and the images drawn or illustrated inside them. I use several types of paper, selecting very carefully which is the best type for each notebook. Also, I use the technique of collage in each notebook, based on a unique theme for each notebook. Moreover, drawings made by me or friends are used as part of the notebooks. The covers are made from paper or fabric.
